Independently established in 2009, our on-going education, professional relationships with world-class experts and cutting edge nutrition research – not mainstream education or ‘research’ with hidden corporate agendas from the commercial food and pharmaceutical manufacturers. Unlike the majority of fitness trainers, dietitians and nutrition ‘experts’ in this country – we teach by example. We are healthy, lean, fit and practice what we preach.
Joe DeMattio is the owner of JD Fitness Llc., a fitness and nutrition consultancy located in the heart of Metro Detroit that offers a holistic approach to solving health problems and improving sports performance. He heals stressors and imbalances from the inside out with customized health plans based on individual goals and biochemistry. Joe specializes in corrective exercise, strength and conditioning, nutrition counseling, nutritional supplementation and holistic lifestyle coaching. With a degree from Henry Ford Community College in Applied Exercise Science, he embraces metabolic individuality and provides a step by step method that allows his clients to achieve repeatable, consistent and successful clinical outcomes.
His customized fitness and nutrition programs have helped clients achieve their goals through weight loss, improved performance, injury prevention and improved vitality. Joe has maintained an active business designing corrective, performance enhancement and rehabilitative exercise programs for clients with chronic musculoskeletal problems, weekend warriors, and athletes of all ages. He is also a life-time natural competitive bodybuilder, who practices what he preaches.

Rowing harder doesn’t help if the boat is headed in the wrong direction. We spend so much time, energy and money trying to get either the bodies we want or the healthier lives we want to live. Nothing in life worth having is easy, ever! I hate seeing people spend gobs of money on supplements that do not work, “Cookie-Cutter” diets and training routines that are not designed uniquely for them. I am sure most of us have all been there. The best way to approach total body health and wellness can be summed up like this: Keep it basic, simple, and intense! With my services, you will be given the tools needed to stay on track and get results you deserve.
As a competitive bodybuilder, I’ve worked hard to get to where I am today, but it hasn’t been easy. I’ve made many mistakes along the way, and have learned from them.
